3 cups (770 g)
2 tbsp (30 ml) lemon juice or vinegar (cider or white wine)
2/3 cup (160 ml) buttermilk
1 cup (230 g) mayonnaise
¾ cup (180 g) sour cream
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
4 oz (115 g) any variety of blue cheese
Combine all ingredients except the blue cheese and whisk until smooth and homogeneous.
Dice the blue cheese into approximately ½ inch (1 cm) cubes. Most blue cheese is crumbly, so you'll wind up with a lot of crumbs as well as larger chunks.
Pour the mayonnaise mixture into a serving container and stir in the cubes and crumbs of cheese.
