Caprese salad is a delicious Italian dish made with tomato and Mozzarella cheese. It is quite simple but tastes great and looks attractive.
Servings
1–2
1 medium tomato
A few basil leaves
about ¾ the weight of Mozzarella cheese as the tomato, sliced
Olive oil
Balsamic vinegar
Italian seasoning or oregano and pepper (optional)
Cut the tomato into about 5 slices.
Put a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of each tomato slice.
Cut a horizontal slit halfway through each slice.
Put a basil leaf on top of each one.
Sprinkle herbs over each slice.
Drizzle some vinegar and olive oil on top. Do not mix the vinegar and olive oil.
Eat fresh.
