4 tbsp chopped onion
Fatty pork
1 quart mashed potatoes
1 ½ pounds sea biscuit, broken
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp summer savory
½ bottle mushroom catsup
1 bottle port or claret
¼ nutmeg pod, grated
A few cloves
Mace
Allspice
6 pounds sea bass or cod, cut into slices
25 oysters
Black pepper
A few slices lemon
Fry the onion with the fatty pork. Transfer to a large pot.
Add all remaining ingredients to pot.
Add enough water to cover everything by 1 inch.
Bring to a boil. Simmer for 1 hour, stirring gently every so often.

Serve.
