8 oz (225 g) rolled oats

Preheat oven to 375 °F (180 °C).

Beat the butter and sugar until the mixture is creamy, then stir in the warmed golden syrup.

Work in the rolled oats and salt.

Grease a 10 x 8-inch (about 25 x 20 cm) baking tray.

Press mixture into baking tin, and bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until brown.
