Boiled fish is a major ingredient in the preparation of many Nigerian soups. It is also served with other foods, such as rice and beans, fried rice, jollof rice, and many others.

Salt
Cut fresh fish into suitable sized pieces, and wash thoroughly. Remove unwanted substances inside the fish.
Put fish in a pot, cover with water, and add a pinch of salt.
Boil for a few minutes until cooked but tender.
