Tambi za kukaanga na sukari ("fried noodles with sugar") is a Tanzanian or Swahili recipe of sweet fried noodles. It is easy to cook and can be eaten with egg sauce, chicken, etc.
Oil
1 pound uncooked spaghetti
3 cups water
¾ cup sugar
Ground cardamom to taste
1 pinch salt
Dried raisins (optional)
Heat a few tablespoons of oil in a frying pan.
Add the spaghetti and fry it until golden.
Add the water, sugar, cardamom, salt, and raisins.
Cover the pan and cook until the pasta has absorbed the water, stirring occasionally. If necessary, add more water.
Serve hot.
